One studio, one designer, your whole brand.

Design Studio SO is a one-person design studio in Amsterdam, working in English and Japanese with clients in the Netherlands, the U.S. and Japan.

There are no departments here and no hand-offs. The person you talk to on the first call is the same person who designs your logo, lays out your print, prepares the files for the printer and codes your website. Nothing gets lost between teams, your feedback goes straight into the work, and you always know who to ask.

The studio’s approach comes from a BA in Industrial Design in Boston, Massachusetts, with a focus on human factors and usability, and from years in New York in marketing and web design for small finance and production companies, working between the marketing and web teams. That is where the habit started: make one message work across every medium, from print to screen. Every project is still designed around the people who use it: accessible, easy to use, and smooth from the first click to the last.

Business cards, flyers and brochures, websites, social posts and ads: because one designer handles all of them, they come out as one brand, and your message stays clear and consistent wherever people meet it.

Every project begins with a conversation. Together we work out who you want to reach and what you want to say. My measure of good design is simple: clear and comfortable for the people who use it. Ideas that haven’t taken shape yet are welcome too.
